Blandine Insler exhibits her paintings at Le Moulin
This summer, the walls of the Moulin de Salazar welcome the paintings of artist Blandine Insler. Our guests will have the pleasure of discovering her creations from July1 to September 30, 2025. The exhibition is open to visitors by appointment: please contact us!
An encounter, an evidence... and an exhibition!
Blandine Insler met Marie-Pierre in the summer of 2024 during her stay at the Moulin. Blandine and Marie-Pierre shared the same attachment to old stones, and the same aesthetic sensibility. The complicity between Blandine and Marie-Pierre was quickly established, and this exhibition project was an obvious choice...

Le Moulin de Salazar, a dream setting for Blandine Insler's paintings
"Particularly interested in notions of identity, the relationship with time, traces and memory", Blandine Insler was very impressed by Marie-Pierre's restoration work. It has to be said that she is fully aware of the scope of her work, having herself embarked on the restoration of her ancestors' farm... a farm located just 10 minutes from the Moulin de Salazar!
Because, like Marie-Pierre, Blandine is a native of the region: a lovely coincidence, and an additional point in common that aroused their mutual curiosity. Marie-Pierre was immediately taken by Blandine's approach and the quality of her work, and was quick to offer to host her paintings at the Moulin.
self-knowledge and self-acceptance as sources of peace with oneself and for the world'.
Spontaneity, imperfection, the unexpected and raw materials: through her painting, Blandine Insler seeks and promotes "self-knowledge and self-acceptance as sources of peace with oneself and the world". Values that are orthogonal to the demands of social success, where perfection, productivity, mastery and appearances rule the roost.
Abstract and contemporary, Blandine Insler's painting reveals an uncompromising quest for authenticity, and a sensitivity on the very surface of her skin. Her work resonates with the historic walls of the Moulin de Salazar, creating a vibrant harmony in the stairwell leading to the guest rooms, on the restaurant mezzanine and in the recently created cabinet of curiosities.
