Every summer, the medieval town of Lauzerte celebrates. Gastronomy, arts and culture, sports and leisure... there's something for everyone! As Le Moulin de Salazar is less than 10 minutes from the village, you can take advantage of your stay to take part in these events.

Gourmet Thursdays in Lauzerte

Between the 1st weekend of July and the last weekend of August, Lauzerte's Thursday evenings are devoted to gastronomy: on the menu, local products and specialities to be enjoyed on large tables, with music and in a spirit of conviviality.

Please note that during this period, the Moulin's table d'hôtes is not open on Thursday evenings.

Torchlight guided tour of the medieval city

Medieval history has left many traces in the streets and alleys of Lauzerte, and only the eye of an experienced guide can reveal them all. As a professional tourist guide, Sandy Communal offers you a night-time torchlight tour of Lauzerte.
These one-and-a-half-hour tours, which take place every Friday between July 12 and August 23, 2024, are open to the general public and are very affordable: €10 per adult, €5 for under-12s and a family pass for €25 (2 adults + 2 children).

Giant Cluedo: murder in Lauzerte

Another way to visit Lauzerte, this time during the day and as part of a giant Cluedo game: inspired by real events that took place in the 20th century, the investigation includes 10 tests to be completed in an hour and a half.
Designed for teenagers and families with children, the Giant Cluedo takes place every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. between July 11 and August 22, 2024.

Adult price: €6-7 children: €3-4 (free for children under 3).
Bookings can be made through the entertainment department of Lauzerte town hall.

Lauzerte's major cultural events

Lauzerte potters' market - July 27 and 28, 2024

Every year, on the last weekend in July, Lauzerte welcomes some thirtyartists and craftsmen from a wide range of potters and ceramists.

Rencontres musicales européennes - August 10 and 11, 2024

A veritable institution, this year's Rencontres Musicales Européennes will be held for the 34th time on the theme of "Music and Women". Music and Women " . The symphony orchestra, directed by Albert Casas, features no fewer than 30 musicians and 30 soloists.
Performances take place at 21:00.

Free sports activities

African dance, solo dance, rock, salsa or gentle salsa gymnastics: in summer, a wide variety of free sports activities are on offer. Contact the Town Hall for details of the program.

Lauzerte Motocross - August 31 and September 1, 2024

It's the big event for thrill-seekers: organized at the end of the summer, the Lauzerte motocross will take place on August 31 and September 1, 2024. Every year, the event attracts a large number of participants, including some of the world's top drivers. All come to enjoy a dose of adrenalin and try to win one of the many prizes awarded on this occasion, including the Open National.
